Candidates and state initiatives to ban same-sex marriage have it wrong. Three 2008 studies from NSRC's Sexuality Research and Social Policy reveal that the denial of marriage harms the health of lesbians and gay men, even those who are not interested in marrying. Here is some of what the researchers said at a press conference NSRC held on October 21, 2008.
