I really, really enjoyed this video, especially the concept about big women "claiming space". It is so true that "desirable" thin women take up very little space, but the "desirable" men are usually very large and thus naturally take up a lot of space. Big women challenge men in this world because they optically take up a lot more space then maybe some smaller men would--and this is threatening to the patriarchal world that we live. I will take away that maxime with me "claim your space"...love it! It is also true in the fashion world, where until quite recently it was really hard to find well made, well designed clothing for plus size women. These women were confined in clothes that due to their styling and their quality made bigger women look cheap and sloven. Today we are coming into an era of size acceptance and many designers are starting to make great plus size clothes that plus size women look and feel great in, too. This is a further step to "claiming space" in this world. Thanks for this video! The Plus Size Fashion Diva
