CALL FOR PAPERS: JOURNAL OF BISEXUALITYSpecial Issues: Queer Theory and Bisexuality, and The Future of Bisexuality
Poll after poll indicates that professionals and nonprofessionals have some type
of increased involvement with bisexuality, either on a professional or personal
level. The Journal of Bisexuality is the first professional quarterly to publish
both professional articles and serious essays on bisexuality and its meaning for
the individual, the community, and society.
This exciting new journal covers a wide range of topics on bisexuality
including:
• new bisexual research
• bisexual issues in therapy
• differences from the straight, lesbian, and gay communities
• growth of the bisexual movement
• bisexuality and the media
• bisexual history
• different bisexual lifestyles
This intelligent journal is intended for more than the academic audience.
While researchers are published after a peer-review process, other sections
of the journal cover bisexual topics in a more popular and nonacademic style.
Book and movie reviews cover bisexual lead characters from every era.
Special thematic issues cover topics singularly, such as:
• women and bisexuality—a global perspective
• bisexual women in the twenty-first century
• bisexual men in culture and society
• bisexuality in the lives of men
With its wide audience scope and the range of issues discussed, the Journal
of Bisexuality is ideal for both academic and public libraries who want to
offer their patrons the latest information on the topic of bisexuality.
The Journal of Bisexuality is currently accepting manuscripts for consideration
of publication.
Manuscripts should be 20 pages in length
and include an abstract of about 100
words (below the abstract provide 3–10
key words for indexing purposes). The
references and format of the manuscript
should follow the style of the American
Psychological Association. The journal is
published quarterly.
