The Department of Gender Studies at Indiana University—Bloomington seeks a senior scholar (advanced associate or full professor) specializing in feminist work on gender/sexuality and race/racialization and ethnicity. We are especially seeking candidates working on interdisciplinary, intersectional analyses of gender/sexuality/race/ethnicity in the context of US culture and politics, but we will consider scholars who approach these issues within a more broadly conceived diasporic framework. Applicants will be expected to assist in the continued development of the doctorate, teach core Gender Studies graduate and undergraduate courses, and work collectively to enhance the Department. The successful applicant will present an active record of scholarship and teaching that is consistent with tenure at a research university, and preference will be given to candidates with teaching experience in Women’s and/or Gender Studies. The appointment will begin in fall 2008. Application materials are due October 20, 2007. For a copy of the full description please see Elizabeth Small at room 5116 of the Graduate Center, and visit www.indiana.edu/~gender or contact Professor Suzanna Walters at walterss@indiana.edu.
