CALL FOR PAPERS: JOURNAL OF BISEXUALITYSpecial Issues: Queer Theory and Bisexuality, and The Future of Bisexuality

Poll after poll indicates that professionals and nonprofessionals have some type

of increased involvement with bisexuality, either on a professional or personal

level. The Journal of Bisexuality is the first professional quarterly to publish

both professional articles and serious essays on bisexuality and its meaning for

the individual, the community, and society.

This exciting new journal covers a wide range of topics on bisexuality

including:

• new bisexual research

• bisexual issues in therapy

• differences from the straight, lesbian, and gay communities

• growth of the bisexual movement

• bisexuality and the media

• bisexual history

• different bisexual lifestyles

Congratulations to all who presented at UCSRT's inaugural conference last week!  And thank you to all who attended and helped make the event vibrant and engaging.

We have received great feedback about the impressive high quality of presentations and discussions that took place, incorporating perspectives from across all disciplines and fields.

To continue the momentum built at the conference, join the UCSRT Conference community space at the Working Groups section of this site.  Use this space to continue connecting and conversing with conference attendees and producing new knowledge.

Launched on March 1st, HIVConnect.net is a unique site that connects all sectors of the HIV/AIDS community. This new social network is a place of free dialogue for people with HIV/AIDS, Community Based Organizations, AIDS Service Organizations, and the family / friends of HIV-positive people.

The site brings organizations together with each other and their clients on-line, taking the concept of a local "drop in center" to the internet. The goal of HIVConnect.net is to deepen the interaction between clients and the organizations that seek to support them.

HIVConnect.net includes a place for member profiles while offering a library of current articles with topics from "co-infections" to "Issues for Native Americans." Members are invited to post articles and comment on ones currently posted.

If you are attending UCSRT's inaugural conference, or you wish you could attend but can't, then visit the conference's community space at the Working Groups section of Dialogues.  This is a place for those attending the conference to meet each other beforehand and start communicating.  You can see the official program and read the abstracts of scheduled presentations.

If you wanted to attend the conference but couldn't, this is a great place for you to still be involved in the conversations and activity with conference presenters and attendees. 

After the conference is over, we will post podcasts of presentations and use this space in a variety of important ways to continue the momentum from the event.
